Rainbow house is a 2 bedroom, 1 full bath family home that has a deck access from every room.  The main floor houses the living/play and dining areas as well as the full bath. Upstairs you will find the two comfortable rooms, both with quiet nooks for reading, watching TV with 4 plush beds designed to give help you recharge for a busy day of adventures around Big Bear.

As you enter, you will see a living area that opens up to the kitchen/dining area.  The living room has a TV, Apple TV and DVD player. We have tons of DVDs for all ages. We have a lot of board games as well as a giant jenga game. We also have a poker table top for the grownups.   Musicians will be able to enjoy a full size vintage  guitar beside the TV.   The living room couch is also a full size sleeper and is nice and cozy place to sleep with the fireplace beside it.  Free wifi and Netflix access is included with all stays. You’ll also have a s’mores kit by the fireplace to make sure everyone has sweet dreams.   For snow play, you’ll have several sizes of sleds, snow fort building molds and snowball makers available to use by the fireplace.  

Rainbow House's kitchen is a full kitchen with the basic cooking and baking necessities.  A table with bench seating for 6. A Keurig coffee machine (stocked with coffee, cream, sugar and tea), a full fridge, a stove/oven, microwave, bread toaster, rice cooker and oven toaster. You’ll have some bottled water and light snacks available on your arrival as well. If you like using essential oils there’s a diffuser to use here.    

Bedroom one has a very comfy King bed, an ample sized work desk for those that need to work from Home/Big Bear.  There’s a lounge chair  perfect for reading and resting while looking out into the glass sliding doors that lead to the balcony. It is the perfect quiet space for some R&R.

Bedroom 2 has a twin/full bunk bed that has a twin pull out.  It also has an oversized super comfy  lounger that is also a twin sleeper bed.  Here you will find  a TV with DVD/VHS player, kid friendly VHS tapes,  Apple TV with complimentary Netflix access.  Guests love the electric fireplace that keeps the room warm and cozy.  Waking up to birds chirping and Big Bear's grey squirrels running about is something kids always enjoy and remember when they stay with us. This room also has direct access to the balcony that has a view of mature pine trees and the back yard below.

In the bathroom, you have a full soaker tub equipped with full size body wash and shampoo for guests to use. Hair dryer, tissue paper, fresh towels for 6 are provided as well, a hand towel and a make-up towelette is also provided. There is a step stool provided for the little ones as well.

The back yard is fully fenced so the kiddies are safe to walk about.  The front parking area fits 2 cars.  There’s a front and back porch and a propane BBQ.   

Part of what's special about Rainbow House is its location. Its hidden enough to make sure you're in a FLAT and safe area but a quick drive takes you to any part of town you need to access. It is a quick walk to Big Bear SnowPlay and the the Convention Center where they have farmers market and concerts regularly especially during the weekends. Parking is very limited in those areas so being able to just walk is always a big plus. Grocery stores, restaurants, movie theatre, bars, fishing, hiking, picnic areas, the zoo, golf course, bowling barn, the Village and ski slopes are all a quick 10 minute drive. 

We are very strict with cleanliness and sanitation especially during this pandemic.  We wash all of our sheets and towels,  sanitize all the rooms, vacuum the carpet, and disinfect the furniture and hardware before each new guest arrives.
